Folkarria eco Festi-bal wants to recover and extend the traditional dances as well as the European folk music, making them a tool for the integration of different cultures, combining them with actions of ecological and responsible awareness, in addition to a series of participative activities for adults and children.
The 8th edition of "Folkarria eco Festi-bal" will be hold throughout a weekend, presenting a musical offer of national and international bands. In addition there will be music and dance workshops of different parts of the world and shows of traditional Spanish folk for all public.
The festival also organizes an eco-social market, a craft market, a space for debates, exhibitions and other activities, as well as art and movement games for children and performances of traditional folk. One more year, the music and dance contest Folkarria for debutant bands is underway.video

B-Road Bastards (Belgium)
B-Road Bastards started as a streetmusic project of 3 young Belgian friends playing guitar, saxophone and cajon. In 2013, They had the crazy idea to only play in cities starting with the letter B. Their adventures took them to the streets of Budapest, Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Braga, Brugges and Béziers.
Elanor is a young Belgian folk group with roots in Ghent. In May of 2013, five seasoned musicians put their instruments together. A steaming accordion, a solid and sound hurdy-gurdy, virtuosic bagpipes and swinging flutes served in a spicy broth of bass and guitar. The music is energetic, easy to dance to and innovative with traditional elements. Original compositions and arrangements also allow a sitting audience to swing with pleasure.
Zagala is a band born in Madrid in 2015, with the purpose of delving into the peninsular folklore and making it known. Voice, mandola, guitar, violin, Iberian percussions like the “pandero cuadrao” or tambourines, merge with the sounds of drums from other corners of the world.

After 10 years of existence, more than 300 concerts throughout Europe and 4 albums, Bal O'Gadjo continues its work of opening and meeting between traditional European music and world rhythms.
PAN DE CAPAZO (Spain/Holland)
For more than 15 years Pan de Capazo has been traveling around the world. They left the asphalt looking for the horizon, bringing music to his own life, root music that goes beyond places, people or identities, getting as far as possible, looking to the past to draw the present. Traditional, acoustic instruments of different origins and mud in the boots, mud from the orchard, mud from the path.
Aérokorda is a young folk band from Belgium that plays energetic, yet sometimes restrained folk music with Celtic and Slavic influences. Pavel Souvandjiev (violin), Adriaan Van Wonterghem (Guitars) and Davy Cautaerts (Tin Whistles and Octave Mandolin) formed the band in October 2016.

Duo Rodriguez Franceschini is the musical project created by Ramón Rodriguez (Pan de Capazo) and Emanuel Franceschini (Trikosis), longtime friends and neighbours for a little less in this peculiar natural place, which is the Hof van Wezel.

The registration period online for "Folkarria eco-Festi-Bal" will be open from 1 to 28 February 2018 at a reduced price of 50 € and from 1 to 15 March 2018 at a reduced price of 60 €. After this date (from 16 to 31 March 2018 o in the ticket o in the ticket office of the festival), the price will be 65€ (consult the web other special rates).
If you want to realize the pre-registration to ensure your participation in the courses and concerts, in addition to the discount corresponding to the general charge for the full weekend, it will be convenient to buy your ticket in advance through bank transfer.
Once the form is completed, you will receive an email with the amount you have to pay. Make the transfer in bank number that you will receive by e-mail. When we receive it, we confirm you the ticket purchase.
*IMPORTANT INFORMATION* Folkarria 2018 offers a limited number of places to sleep, with available showers, in the Sport Center of Valdemorillo.
People with full festival tickets will have priority or reasons of capacity. If you want a place to sleep in the Sport Center, please indicate it in the registration form.

The festival will take place in Valdemorillo (Madrid). This town is 30 minutes by car from the center of Madrid.
During all a weekend, from 13th to 15th April, Valdemorillo will invite to enjoy this great event designed to recover and disseminate traditional dances and the european folk music, a major challenge for the integration in diferent cultures based also in the active participation of the public...
In the Bar of the Festival during all the weekend there will be ecological food and drink. There will be vegetarian and meat sandwiches, pies, croissants, snacks...as well as coffee, sodas, teas, wines, beers, etc. All of organic production.
In the Restaurants of Valdemorillo you can find several menus and taste different and rich delicacies.
Valdemorillo has many bus lines that link the town with Madrid in just 45 minutes and that connect the town with neighboring town like as Collado Villalba or San Lorenzo de El Escorial. At the same time, there is a service of urban transport that communicates the historical center complex with the numerous urbanization.
