Bargainatt is a dance music group inspired by the traditional European repertoire. Their proposal is a trip in company of four young musicians from the south of France.

Having made their debut on the markets with the hat, the quartet embarks with you to the discovery of his universe. Fed by the classical formation of their strings and rich harmonies in the multiple colors and jazz influences of their accordionist.

Their compositions revise traditional melodies. Let yourself enter into a folk dance full of energy and freshness!

Folk Bilingüe desde la frontera con Portugal

Created in 1976, Acetre is one of the oldest and most emblematic bands within the Extremadura folk scene and its music is essential to understand the trajectory of folk music of the last years both within its region and in the rest of Spain. Creation and musical renewal on a rich traditional base join with his long experience as musicians, to create a gear of instrumental and vocal quality able to open new horizons within music inspired by the traditional roots.

Their place of origin, Olivenza (Badajoz) gives them the characteristic "bicultural" in such an spontaneous and simple way that could only be explained because it was born from the essential, from the base of vital learning. Thus, in their interpretations they combine "perantones", "pindongos", festive tonics or "alboradas" from Extremadura, with the Portuguese "verdegaios", fados or "corridiños". An excellent combination that results into one of the most exquisite sounds within what today we understand as a renewed tradition. Their artistic philosophy starts from feeling the music as an inherited language to which they contribute with their particular semantics, to play it with courage and a talent vocal beauty, with an instrumentation that travel with subtle harmonies and compositions that receive old melodies with an important dose of experimentation that opens new paths to root music.

Didier Oliver (violins, bagpipes, flutes and singing) and Joaquín Montbord (four bagpipes, drum and singing) have different musical formations but they are in the same musical line.

The strength of their duo is precisely the eclecticism of their influences. The mixture rises to a Traditional Gascon Dance with a very new sound.

In their second album 'Braçat de boit' they play traditional tunes reorganized together with their original compositions, but the fundamental objective is always the pleasure of making a music to be danced.

A festival tent filled to the brim with enthusiastically dancing people, while on stage an equally passionated folk-band, wet with sweat, fully committed. That’s what characterizes a performance by EmBRUN. There is so much energy among this wonderful band, that the audience is near to explode.

The music of EmBRUN is tradition based but spiced with contemporary often progressive sounds and rhythms.

Being a real live band, they recorded their 3th album with a live audience in April 2013. This live album is a fine example of an EmBRUN performance: steamy, swinging, sometimes intimate; a smooth-running five-cylinder engine with plenty of horsepower, rhythmically tight and musically surprising.

Since 2002 EmBRUN has been continuously present on the Belgian folk scene and showed its skills on many European stages.

This trio, formed by 3 travelers, brings us a proposal based essentially on traditional music from the region of Poitu (Center-West of France) and own compositions. In their concerts, there are dances like Rondós, Avant-deux, Pas d'été, Valses, Maraichines or Bal Limousine... all of them respecting the spirit of dance that is born, inevitably, from the feet when someone hears this music.

And if in all this tribute to the traditional a wind of freshness and joyful freedom overflows the space of dance, it will be that the old melodies impulse their perfume of eternal youth.

Ciac Boum has a strong reputation among French and European dancers for offering a very unique music that breathes the joy and energy of the party. So, dancers hold yourselves well! because we Know how their concerts start but not how they end …

Les Bottines Artistiques started in the fall of 2014 Both being actijf in several bands Guus and Pavel decided to compose their own music and called themselves "LBA". Guus' French and Italyn playing tecnics and Pavel's Bulgarian roots garantee a musical surprise!

Being classically formed musicians Guus and Pavel will bring you an unforgetable dance-evening or concert!

Behind this enigmatic name hides a trio constituted around a common goal: to offer a fusion of original sounds fruit of the instruments that compose it. The didgeridoo and the harp of mouth bring the energy of their own universe and propose an original space without borders in which the violin and the accordion are submerged without moderation. Thus, the trio embroider the melodies, the rhythmic and other harmonies to compose together the alchemy of a fascinating dance.

In this way, mixed waltzes, oscillating mazurkas, crazy circles, plinns side by side .... A decidedly 'current' music that plunges its roots in the meanders of traditional European music.

The energy of the mix of genres at the service of dance and trance!

Castilian Folk

Zagala is a band born in Madrid in 2015, with the purpose of delving into the peninsular folklore and making it known. Voice, mandola, guitar, violin, Iberian percussions like the “pandero cuadrao” or tambourines, merge with the sounds of drums from other corners of the world.

The sound of Zagala is characterized by its vocal force, where the instruments contribute to the mestizaje, bringing together musics from different places, cultures and times.

The group's proposal consists of a selection of danceable themes: jota, charro, ajechao (first rhythm of the Peñaparda dance), seguidilla, fandanguillo, sevillanas ...

Mediterranean Folk

The Faluka group performs as a duo in Cordoba in April 2014 and they established in Granada few months later, where the current training of four musicians is completed. It proposes a musical and researcher approach to Mediterranean music as a way to better understand one's own musical heritage, exploring the rhythms and ways that bring us closer to the traditions of the other Mediterranean countries.

In his comprehensive repertoire he addresses Byzantine songs, the two traditions of Iberian exile (Sephardi and Andalusian) and traditional and popular music from Greece, Turkey, Balkans, Maghreb and Mashreq.

Their themes are interpreted in their original languages (Greek, Turkish, Arabic and Judeo-Spanish).

La Lanterne is first and foremost a group of four good friends who wish to share their common passion for dance music. Four lads who come from different backgrounds have been united by complicity to create a rich, powerful and diversified music.

La Lanterne’s will is to offer contemporary folk music that stays connected to traditional dances, and that keeps our ancestors music alive whilst enriching it with more recent influences.

All artists or oriented towards music teaching, the musicians of La Lanterne have dedicated their life to that art.

We could say that chance knows well how to do things. Hoctomoz are three musicians who met in a casual way in the sessions of traditional and Irish music. Three musicians who have the pleasure of composition in common, the willingness to dance and to make others dance. You will ask for the rarity of its name... It is a kind of dialect, a call to enter its atmosphere, for the mere pleasure and joy of encounter and music.

Régis Marlaud is an accordionist in the Lyon region. He makes sure the three musicians vibrate to the same wavelength musically speaking, and it is he who manages the phenomena of resonance in each piece of music.

Paul Fermé to the violin. Every binary rhythm is within his competence. In particular, he loves to use several strings of his violin at the same time, always in pair numbers.

Lilian Guillemeney is flutist. He is responsible for providing musical reactions that can cause a mixture of tones and sounds, all with love and devotion.

Folqué? Is an association, whose objective is to promote the Bal Folk, live genre of music and dance, that evolves making us part of the tradition. This motivation has made its members Francesco Palmeri and María Cubero, take forward a multitude of activities, workshops and events, giving regular classes, workshops and organizing concerts, parties and festivals for diffusion and enjoyment.

Interactive Bal Folk/Dance Workshop

What is the Interactive Dance? It is a dance where the leading is shared between both partners, where the beauty is in the creation of the dance between two people, with equal share. It is a dance where leading and following are present in each moment and the result depends on both people that, many times, don’t know who started the movement.

We invite you to live this dance experience, to have it as a new way of dancing between the others, or to change all your way of dancing toward a more listening one improving your communication skills.
